Solid Numbers

These are notes with same digits. i.e. notes with numbers '111111', '222222', '333333', '444444', '555555', '666666', '777777', '888888', '999999'. The solid number notes of Singapore Orchid and Bird Series are the most valuable as these two series were not auctioned off by the BCCS. Starting with the Ship Series notes, solid number notes were retrieved by the BCCS though the printers and were auctioned off ins ets with evem matching prefixes. Not all denominations of the Ship Series were auctioned off. The $1 Ship Series denomination was not auctioned off. Naturally, it is more difficult to assemble the $1 Ship solid number notes with matching prefixes. The Portrait Series notes were also auctioned in large quantities and are the least valuable of the 4 series. Within the same series and denomination, the most valuable note is '888888' followed by the '999999' as they represent prosperity, wealth and longevity.

A complete set of 'Orchid' $25 Solid Number 1s to 9s and 'Millionth' in choice uncirculated condition. Extremely rare to obtain this set of beautiful notes. From what i have seem, only a couple set of these had survived and this set could most probably be the best set in term of condition wise.

A scarce straight security 'Bird' $10 solid, Straight security end at incompleted A/15 therefore only 14 pieces.

Singapore 'Ship' Series $1 with serial number D/14 444444.
A piece of Scarce note signed by Dr. Hu Tsu Tau with only 7 pieces available. i.e from prefix A/14 to D/20. This is also the very first piece of Solid number by Dr. Hu as the first note for Dr. Hu started at D/14 400001, anything before this was signed by Dr. Goh Keng Swee. From here, we can also conclude that there is only 6 pieces of Solid 1s, 2s & 3s for Dr. Hu Signature.

The Millennium was issued in 2000 to commemorate the millennium. The note was a limited edition issue with mintage of 5 millions. i.e the notes range from 0000001 to 5000000. Notes beyond the serial number 5000000 are Replacement Notes which was inserted into any of the defective notes in the range 0000001 to 5000000.

A handsome set 'Portrait' Series big denomination $1000 with matching prefix. Very limited as last prefix for the $1000 ends at 0AK. Very difficult to see these in matching prefix. Prices for these $1000 solid increase tremendously over years.
